1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Mimic Chrome Extension ("Extension", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Mimic is a virtual try-on Chrome extension that allows users to visualize how clothing items might look on them using artificial intelligence. The Extension:

  • Processes user-uploaded photos using Google AI Studio (Gemini models)
  • Generates virtual try-on images based on product photos from supported retailers
  • Works on ASOS, Zara, Zalando, SHEIN, and via right-click on any image on the web

3. User Requirements

To use Mimic, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid Google account for authentication
  • Use a supported Chrome browser
  • Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

4. User-Uploaded Content

By uploading photos to Mimic, you:

  • Confirm that you have the right to use and share the uploaded images
  • Grant Mimic a limited license to process your photos solely for providing the virtual try-on service
  • Understand that your photos are sent to Google AI Studio (Gemini) for processing
  • Acknowledge that we do not permanently store your uploaded photos on our servers

You must not upload:

  • Photos of other people without their consent
  • Illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Photos of minors

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Extension for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Extension
  • Use the Extension to generate inappropriate, offensive, or NSFW content
  • Circumvent any usage limits or access controls
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Extension
  • Use automated systems or bots to interact with the Extension

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The virtual try-on images generated by Mimic are AI approximations and:

  • May not accurately represent how actual clothing will fit or look
  • Should not be the sole basis for purchasing decisions
  • Are provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy

We are not liable for any purchasing decisions made based on generated images.

7. Intellectual Property

The Mimic Extension, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Mimic and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the Extension without permission.

Product images from retailers (ASOS, Zara, etc.) remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Service Availability and Changes

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time
  • Update these Terms with reasonable notice
  • Limit access to certain features or users
  • Change pricing or usage limits for premium features

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Mimic if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may uninstall the Extension at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MIMIC AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction where the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
